Hrithik Barbara speak spanish in Kites
Hrithik Roshan has started work for the second shooting schedule of Kites .
A source says the actor will now start shooting for commercials and working on assignments that have been pending for many months. “One can expect to see Hrithik’s new look in Kites — curly, golden-brown hair and a beard — in ads for brands like Macroman and Coca Cola. He will also shoot for Parle as well as John Players, Cinthol and many more, before he commences shooting. Since he has been out of the country for so long, his commercials had to be postponed,” said a source.
After this, the Mumbai schedule of Kites will commence and will go on till the end of February. “It is going to be a 35-day shooting schedule. We will be putting up a set at Film City very soon. Barbara will be coming to Mumbai in the month of January and joining Hrithik for the shoot,” says director Anuraag Basu.
But we managed to find out more about the plot of Kites, produced by his Hrithik’s dad Rakesh Roshan and directed by Basu. Our source says, “Hrithik plays a salsa teacher who is in love with a Spanish girl played by Barbara, who will be seen in the first half of the film. In the film, she speaks only in Spanish and Hrithik can’t speak a word of the language. Therefore, he speaks to her in Hindi, and the two communicate and fall madly in love. Kangana plays a very rich girl and is shown as Hrithik’s dance student. The story is set in Las Vegas. In the course of learning salsa, Kangana falls in love with him. Circumstances split the couple, and that’s where Kangana steps in. Kangana’s role is not bigger than that of Barbara’s.”
A friend of Hrithik said, “Hrithik is definitely concerned about Barbara’s stay in Mumbai and wants her to feel extremely comfortable but he is not getting a vanity van ready for her.
He hasn’t had a personal van yet but now feels the need to have an environment where he feels at home. And so, he is going in for a personal vanity van.”
Hrithik’s friend further revealed, “Dilip Chhabria’s son is making the van. It is being designed as per the specifications given by Hrithik.
Of course, it will be lavishly done up with all the modern amenities. The van will be ready by December end.”
Sources say that the Mumbai schedule of Kites will have Barbara shoot some scenes with Hrithik where they both interact with each other in Spanish. For this, Hrithik is even taking lessons in Spanish.
Hrithik’s friend confirmed and said, “Hrithik has appointed a personal tutor who teaches him Spanish at his Juhu residence everyday for one hour. Hrithik is very diligent and he is learning Spanish quite fast.”
The source adds, “It is because of Barbara’s non-Hindi dialogues that Basu and Roshan have decided to release the film with both Hindi and English subtitles. There are a lot of languages spoken in this film — English, Hindi, Spanish and Philippino.”
Kites is set for a summer 2009 release worldwide.
