Anurag : “Audiences will love Barbaras chemistry with Hrithik”
Hrithik’s next movie Kites has finished an epic schedule - eight weeks of shooting in Las Vegas and New Mexico.
Director Anurag Basu said the weather let him down.
“The most annoying thing was the uncertain conditions which would stop our shooting,” he said, “There were days our shooting came to a halt because of heavy rains but then there were news that a hurricane was on its way and that stopped the shoot for three days!”
With work happening back-and-forth with India, the time difference was another challenge.
“The timings affected our pattern of work completely and the most irritating thing was that there was no mobile network for two months!”
Anurag says that was the toughest bit of all, being away and incommunicado from loved ones. “I was missing my family and now I’m back it’s like coming to heaven!”
Other than Hrithik, the film stars Kangana Ranaut and Latino beauty Barbara Mori. Anurag says she’s one to watch out for.
“Barbara is professional and she is wonderful actress and human being. Audiences will love her chemistry with Hrithik,” he said. And what about the star himself? “Hrithik as usual is fantastic,” he said.
The crew is now preparing for the movie’s next schedule beginning mid-December in Mumbai.
The movie is being produced by Rakesh Roshan, who has directed his son before in Kaho Na Pyar Hai, Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish. Anurag thinks Kites too has the making of a biggie.
“It will become one of the memorable films. The locations are simply great and Hrithk fans will like his cool attitude in the film,” he said.
Kites is slated for release in summer 2009.
